Title:Singapore NRF Fellowship, Class of 2012

Synopsis of Program:The Singapore NRF Fellowship will provide attractive funding to exceptional, young scientists and researchers (below 40 years of age) to carry out independent, leading-edge research in Singapore. Appointees will be offered tenure-track faculty positions at any of our prestigious universities, related research organisations or research institutions.
Eligibility Information:The NRF Fellowship is open to the following:
• Outstanding scientists and researchers of any nationality (under the age of 40);
• Possess a PhD degree in any discipline of science and technology;
• Can only be used to fund research conducted in Singapore;
• Repeat applicants are discouraged.

Evaluation Criteria:Applicants for the Singapore NRF Fellowship should demonstrate the following:-
• Top quality research talent with excellent scientific credentials;
• Readiness to take on a first independent research appointment, usually having completed and demonstrated outstanding performance during a first post-doctoral fellowship stint at a renowned university;
• Internationally competitive research project proposal demonstrating scientific excellence;
• Potential and aspiration to become a next generation research leader in his/her field; and
• Willingness to commit to carrying out cutting-edge research on a full-time basis in Singapore if selected.
